Takarazuka dance poetry “SEKKASHO” is a magnificent dance picture scroll brilliantly unfolding with a theme of Japanese charms and elegance of Shun-ka-shu-to (春夏秋冬) which means  “Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter” and Kacho-fugetsu (花鳥風月), beauties of nature, the traditional theme of Japanese aesthetics. With added contemporary essence, it is an ambitious work of Japanese revue show which sings the beauty and glamor of the four seasons. Mr. Keita Maruyama, an internationally well-known fashion designer, is working on costume designs and supervision.

The Tragedy Arabesque “The Golden Desert” depicts a story of tragic love of a slave boy and the Princess, set in the imaginary ancient desert kingdom. A swirling love-hate play of Giy (Rio Asumi), the slave boy of Crown Princess who doesn’t know where he came from, and the Crown Princess Talharmine (Maria Kano) will be dramatically unfolded. Together with the main performance, the finale, Sayonara show of Maria Kano who will graduate in this performance, the greetings from the graduating casts and also the last day greetings will all be live broadcasted!

The "SEKKASHO," a look at natural Japanese aesthetics presented in dance, addresses the theme of Japanese elegance through a magnificent picture scroll gracefully unfolding. Starting with glorious scenes of early spring followed by the glittering waves of summer, an autumn moon, and finally from a pure silver world of dancing snowflakes to an ode to riotous cheery blossoms, the dazzling scenes build up one after another. Time-honored Japanese legends are woven together with modern essence and arranged in the unique Takarazuka style to form an ambitious Nihonmono revue (a play with a historical Japanese setting) that splendidly celebrates the beauty and allure of Japan's four seasons.

"The Golden Desert"

In the ancient desert kingdom of Esfaan, King Jahangir (An Hozuki) invites suitors of his three princesses to a grand party. Giy (Rio Asumi), the slave boy of Crown Princess Talharmine (Maria Kano), has mixed feelings upon seeing Theodoros (Rei Yuzuka), a prince from another land, pursue Talharmine’s hand in marriage.

Along with Ger (Toa Serika), the slave of the king’s second daughter Princess Virmaya (Ayaka Osaki), and Puri (Kazuya Seto), the slave of the king’s third daughter Princess Sharaddha, Giy has worked in the palace, waiting on Talharmine since he was young. Yet he is unhappy with his life. While Pipi (Naoki Ema), the slave of Queen Amu Darya (Ayase Senna), tries to reason with the proud Giy, he holds romantic feelings for the beautiful yet out-of-reach Talharmine. On the other hand, Talharmine, due to her pride as a princess, realizes but is unable to accept that she needs him, and adopts a cold attitude in their interactions.

Talharmine accepts her suitor Theodoros’ marriage proposal. The night before the wedding Giy risks his life to approach her, and Talharmine yields to his passion in spite of herself. With her pride as a princess shattered, she is prepared to throw away her status and run away with him. Giy promises that after escaping the kingdom he’ll show her the gold sands of the desert, which Talharmine has been enamored with since she was a young girl. However, as they approach the palace walls, soldiers confront them and the situation takes an unanticipated turn...

Giy harbors a strong desire for revenge. It boils over, forming a tall vortex in the blazing desert, shaking people’s fortunes...
